TAX COLLECTOR ANNOUNCES NEW BOOTING/TOWING SCHEDULE FOR REMAINDER OF THE YEAR

(11/4/2008) HAVEN- The New Haven Tax Collector announced a new Towing and Booting schedule for the remainder of the year for tax and parking ticket delinquencies only. This schedule will be followed until December 31, 2008.

No booting or towing will take place on:

- November 4, 2008 - Election Day

On this date, Mayors Night In is canceled and offices will close at 5 PM.

- November 11, 2008 - Veterans Day

- November 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, 2008 Thanksgiving week

On all of these dates, offices will close at 5 PM.

No evening booting will take place December 19, 20 and 21. No day or night booting will take place 22 - 31, 2008 and January 1 - 3, 2009. Offices will close at 5 PM on these dates.

The City’s towing program will end on November 15, 2008 for the season and resumes only on selected days until the end of the calendar year.

On nights when no booting if in effect, the office of the Tax Collector will be closed. All after hour payments for parking tickets and taxes will be made at One Union Avenue when the Tax Collector’s office is closed.
